Philippe Trottier - fCTO

Software founder, fractional CTO, ex-Googler. I help organizations bring structure to technology: clearer governance, better execution, stronger resilience, and systems that perform reliably in day-to-day operations.

Update, August 2025: I joined Valade et associés, huissiers de justice, in Old Montreal as fractional CTO.

My work typically focuses on putting order around complex technology environments: clarifying governance and planning, regaining control of vendors and projects, improving cybersecurity and resilience, and raising the overall quality and predictability of IT services. I am still available for new client mandates as of April 2026.

Recent achievements: At Valade et associés, huissiers de justice, my recent work has included formalizing IT decision-making and planning rhythms, consolidating oversight of external technology providers, improving visibility into project priorities and technology spend, strengthening backup and incident-readiness practices, and stabilizing core systems used by staff in daily operations. I use these kinds of mandates to leave clients with a more rationalized technology ecosystem and a stronger internal ability to plan, prioritize, and steer future investments with confidence.
